Very nervous...please give opinions

DH and I have been TTC for about 11 months and I finally got my BFP about 2 weeks ago. We went through several cycles of Clomid and had 1 round of IUI.

Well, I went for a sono on Monday (at 5w2d) and the sono tech said he saw what he called a "questionable gestational sac" so they had me go back on Saturday (6w2d) for another sono. The gestational sac grew but they said that they don't see a "yolk sac" inside. They said they should be able to see it by now. The doctor says that maybe the egg implanted later than we think, so maybe we are off by a couple of days to a week or so. I have to go back on Thursday for another sono. They say my progesterone and estrogen levels are great, and my beta was over 8,000 at 5w2d, which they said was perfect.

Has anybody had this happen? Right now I just can't stop crying, thinking there is no baby in there. I'll take any and all advice, experiences, etc. right now.

Your levels are great, so I wouldn't worry too much. I have seen a few times where implantation occured later than originally thought and there was a yolk sac a week later.

I have seen this same story plently of times on here and on other boards. Usually a week later people go back and see the baby.

your levels are amazing! I had sonos done from 4,5,6,7 weeks. It wasn't until 7 did we see the baby and HB. 4-56 were just sacs. As long as your #'s are climbing you are perfect, it's just too early to see anything.

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon At this stage, a day can make a big difference on what you see on the sono. it sounds like your numbers are great. I know we were off by a few days with mine, so they told us something simillar when we had our first sono---they thought i was far enough along we should have seen the heartbeat, but we didn't, but everything was fine....i found pregnancy so stressful in the beginning, but just try your best to relax and think positive!!!!!
