Sex-ed drop out again....

Okay, so according to webmd, I am ovulating the 14th-18th. Not really sure how accurate that is, but we BD'd last night anyway Chat Icon

My question is, once he shoots his swimmers, do you have to leave it in for a certain amount of time?

OK, I'm going to stab at this. By leaving "it" are you referring to his swimmers? If you are, basically you should remain lying down for around 15 minutes or so. some girls will prop themeselves up under a pillow for that amount of time.

Re: Sex-ed drop out again....

You can. It won't hurt but I always immediately go pee to avoid getting a UTI and I have gotten pregnant twice even doing that so you don't NEED to.

Sorry, I didn't explain very well...

I got up immediately after bd-ing and went pee. Then I realized maybe I should have left the swimmers in longer!!

Re: Sex-ed drop out again....

I usually lay in bed (playing PSP no less), for about 15-20 minutes....... most times, I have a pillow under my rear.....

Good luck to you and his swimmers.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I pee after sex b/c of UTI's. I do this everytime. I had a BFP in early January. SO I guess it doesn't matter.

Re: Sex-ed drop out again....

I don't think there's any proof that laying down after helps anything. The sperm are deposited up by your cervix and start swimming immediately. The stuff that comes out after you BD is the fluid that the sperm is carried in out of your DH's body.

That said, while I don't necessarily think it helps, I usually give it 5 minutes or so before I get up. Who knows, you know?

Re: Sex-ed drop out again....

I lay down for 10-20 minutes because dh's swimmers need remedial swimming. (poor tailbeat and little foward progression.. and he was a competitive swimmer and a swim coach!!!)Chat Icon

But then i get up and clean up. Once I tried to go to sleep without cleaning up, 2 nights in a row and I got the most disgusting yeast infection ever.... noowww I pee and clean up after.. Lesson learned. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Sex-ed drop out again....

I'm not sure, but I do. This month, before we bded, I made sure I peed, my teeth were brushed and my face was washed so I didn't have to get up until the morning. I hope this helps!!!!Chat Icon

I do the same because I get the frequently. I raised my knees to my chest for about 10-15 mins first and then pee Chat Icon Chat Icon
