Internals
Ok so I am now 32 weeks along. Just curious when do internals start. I'm down to going to my OB every 2 weeks, and then next week is my last 2 week appointment before it becomes every week and so far no internals. I"m guessing soon, but just curious.

My doc told me that they start @ 36 weeks with him... But I had my first the other night in L & D.

honestly at this point.... i could care less.... i can hardly bend down as it is.... let alone to shave for my doctor.
can u tell i'm so done with being PG????

it depends on your doctor. mine doesnt start them until 38 weeks. i guess the theory is that effacement/dilation arent real good indicators of when you'll actually go into labor.

Will someone share what EXACTLY this internal thing means?
Is it like getting a regular internal pelvic exam like when I had my first appointment? Or is the Dr. feeling way "up" there? And what is he feeling for?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So clueless!!!!

they stick a version of the sono tool thing they use at your usual sonograms the ones that they rub all of your belly to see the baby inside you to see the baby closer and to check things like dialation, etc. usually they put a condom on it and gel, and they only go an inch or so inside of you. It really doens't hurt at all, though could feel uncomfortable. It almost like the shape of a penis but not shaped to look like one. HTH and didn't totally confuse the hell out of you. LOL

i showed it to my sister at my growth sono - i told her look... the doctor uses his own dildo on his patients!!!!!!!!!
