Ladies I Need Some Advice
I had posted a week or so ago that DH and I were putting TTC on hold until July bc we are buying a house and it would also be really difficult for me to give birth during the months of Nov-March for professional reasons. So, my question really isn't based in the realm of TTC as much as my concern that something could be wrong with me
Since I went off BC in Aug my cylces have been VERY irregular.
cycle 1: 48 days cycle 2: 48 days cycle 3: 31 days cycle 4: 28 days (this was my most recent cycle with AF rearing her head on Jan 2nd) I thought this was the cycle that finally got me back on track. Well two nights ago I was awakened by horrible cramps (right above the pelvic bome and lower back) in the middle of the night that are still plaguing me. Last night I woke up again with cramps, went to the bathroom and I was bleeding. How can this happen on CD14???
I'm going to the Gyno tomorrow but I am really concerned that something could be wrong.
Has anyone had any experience with this???
I was on BC for over 10 years and am in my early 30's so I know my cycle has changed but this just doesn't seem right! I NEVER get cramps like this
Any advice is welcomed and appreciated

Re: Ladies I Need Some Advice
Well, it really can take upwards of 6 months for your body to regulate itself after you've been on BC for so long. When I first went off BC, in my third cycle, AF came after 2 weeks.
BUT, with that said, extremely painful cramps would raise some concerns for me, so I think it's a good idea that you follow-up with your ob/gyn.

Re: Ladies I Need Some Advice
Irregular cycles are normal when coming off BCP. Just when I think I have a pattern going, I get a super long cycle. My Dr told me this is totally normal.
But since you are having painful cramping & now bleeding on CD14, I would totally bring this up to your Dr tomorrow. It can't hurt to run some tests so that when the time comes to TTC, you won't be wondering what if

Re: Ladies I Need Some Advice
as the above poster said it could take up to 6 months, but cramping on CD14 is unusual unless it is O cramping...but I do hope your DR will answer your questions for you!!! GL with the house!!!! and GL at the Dr's I'm sure you're body is just regulating itself!!!

It could definately take a while to completely regulate after BCPs. It's always good to check with your doctor. I hope everything is ok
