Need opinions on when to...
start using the OPK's this month. I went off BCP in Sept and got AF after 48 days. My next cycle was 31 days and my most recent (and 3rd) cycle was 36 days. This past cycle was the first one where I got a smiley face on the digital OPK and it was on CD21. I'm just not sure of what CD to now start using them again. I have gone through so many of those darn expensive boxes that I'd like to keep it to one box this cycle, if possible. Judging by the chart that comes with the opk's a 31 day cycle would start testing on CD14, but a 36 day cycle wouldn't start until CD19. I was thinking of starting to test around CD 15 or 16. What do you gals think? TIA!

If your cycles are inconsistent, I would start testing on CD10.

I would probably look at your SHORTEST cycle length in the past six months, and start testing on whatever date the charts say to test for that cycle length. You might need to use more than one box though, but I think it's important so that you don't miss your surge.

Well, since I was on BCP for 3 of the last 6 cycles I figured I would go with the average of my 3 "real" cycles off BCP, since 28 days was never my cycle length before going on them. I'm on CD11 of my next cycle now, so I guess I'll start testing asap. I was trying to be frugal with the tests, but i guess getting a positive is much more important than saving a few dollars at this point. Thanks ladies!
