I'm so pathetic
I booked a much needed spa getaway with my closest friend ever, for this weekend. Heading out Friday night and returning Sunday afternoon.
I'm so unbelievably excited, but then it dawned on me - I always O on CD13, CD14 or CD15. And wouldn't you know it, Saturday is CD13, so now all I can think about is another month down the drain.
I need this getaway more than anything else in the world - reassure me that one month won't kill me!

First you're not pathetic so take that back!
Secondly, when DH and I TTC it was before I actually ovulated and I got a BFP 2 weeks later! I thought it wasn't going to be my month either becuase I planned a weekend getaway with my g/friends to AC while I was O-ing. I guess the swimmer hung in there until I O'd - so keep your fingers crossed and keep BDing until you leave for your weekend getaway!

I'll make sure to jump him on Friday before I leave, and Sunday when I get back, to cover as many bases as possible

That is exactly how I got pregnant. My DH went away Fri night - Sunday. I think I O'd on Sunday and got pregnant either from Fri morn or Sun night.

Here's the plus side skipping this month means that Alex and new baby won't have the same birthday! 
Maybe we can both have January so we'll have October babies together.

I wouldn't worry I would enjoy myself. BD before you leave and as soon as you come back. When I got pg with my ds I went on vacation before I ovulated as well. I was lucky it worked...the one month I did not stress over getting pregnant because I thought I missed my opportunity. Good Luck
