I am so confused!!!!
What exactly is the 2WW???
My cycle runs 25 days or less. My OBGYN told me to BD on days 9-18. I am on day 21 now so if I get AF it will be in a few days....if I dont and I am pg then thats from the BD that we just did and I would only be a week or so pg??? I am so confused!!!

The 2WW starts from the day after you Ovulate until you get AF or you get a BFP

Thanks! But then how can you be pg from the BD you just had a week ago and know you are pg when you dont get AF????

Most women have a 14 day LP (between O and AF). That is a standard amount of days (but can be anywhere from 10-16 days depending on the person). So usually counting back 14 days from AF you can figure out when you O'd. This amount of days is the same every month basically, but your O date can fluctuate, making the amount of time between AF and O longer or shorter.
You would not have gotten pg a week before...b/c it takes two weeks after ovulation (generally) for the egg to fertilize and implant. Your doctor probably told you to BD from CD9-18 to make sure you catch it even if you O late. If you mostly have a 24 day cycle, you are probably Oing around day 10. I actually think you should start BDing earlier like from day 6 if you are, in fact, Oing on day 10. Sperm can live up to five days before the egg is released.

So we should BD from 6-18? DH is going to die! Thats basically BDing everyday of my cycle except the 5 or so days that I have AF.

Since you're really unsure of when you ovulate, it might be helpful to use an OPK. I'm finding that the Clearblue Digitals are easy to read (either a circle for no O, or a smiley face for O). I figured out that I ovulate a few days earlier than I originally thought.
If your cycles are usually 24 days, you would probably ovulate at/around day 10. You might want to BD a few days before and a few days after...

LOL no I don't think you need to do it that long. Maybe day 6 to 13. Are you always 25 days? Do you get CM or anything else that would let you know when you are O'ing? And you don't need to BD every day...you can do every other day like day 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15.

DH and I were trying to do this without being so technical. I guess its not going to be that easy and I guess since we just BDed from days 9-18 (skipping 2 days in between but not in a row) we are out for this go around.

The OPK detect a surge in your lutenizing hormone (so I've read) which indicates that you'll ovulate in the next 24-48 hours. So if you get a + OPK, you'd BD starting that day/night, which would technically be a day or two before you'll ovulate. I THINK! keep in mind it's my first month too
