Karma didn't break up a relationship. His fiancee left him for reasons unrelated to karma - maybe like he's a selfish jerk who doesn't value family?
Your brother had an accident because he was distracted over his fiancee. He's ok.
If there was no one there for him through no fault of his own - that's karma. You called. He has someone there for him. Not karma at all. Sounds like one lucky SOB to me.
So well said, Barb! Beth, you're a great sister and hope karma works for you and you get all good things soon. You really deserve it.

You're not crazy at all. Even after all he's put you through, he's still your brother and you still love him. Of course you'd be concerned for him - you are a good, kind person!

Re: Karma worked, but I feel horrible
My brother was an abusive, controlling, nasty person to me througout my whole childhood and I wrote him off.
He got sick and I came to his rescue..I felt I had no choice. he's my big brother and he deserves to be cared for.
I'm just like you.

No, you're not crazy. I have had a rocky relationship at times with my brother but in his time of need I will always be there for him and not judge him because I love him no matter what.

Re: Karma worked, but I feel horrible
you are NOT crazy. I have wished Karma on many people, including family. BUT, when the chips ARE down, I am and want to be the first person there lending a hand, an ear, or whatever they need...no questions asked.

You are not crazy at all! You are a great sister. We can fight and not agree with our siblings until we're blue in the face but at the end of the day we still love them and never want to see them hurt or in trouble. You did the right thing and I'm sure it means a lot to him.

I agree... That was great.
And Beth - you are a great person who I aspire to be more like in the future.
