Karma worked, but I feel horrible
It bit my brother in VA in the arse BIG time.
His fiance broke up with him. I don't know why yet, but she's gone, kaput, done.
He's so distraught about it that he wasn't paying attention while he was riding his motorcycle, hit a slippery patch and went down and crashed the bike. His brand new, expensive, bike is now totaled.
So, karma got him, BAD, but I feel absolutely NO satisfaction whatsoever. He's still my big brother and I feel bad for him.
I know, I'm crazy and stupid, but I called him and left him a message telling him I'm here for him if he needs someone to talk to, and invited him to Thanksgiving.
Tell me I'm not crazy, please.

I don't think you're crazy at all. I think you're a big hearted person who loves her brother, even though he doesn't deserve how good you are to him.

Karma didn't break up a relationship. His fiancee left him for reasons unrelated to karma - maybe like he's a selfish jerk who doesn't value family?
Your brother had an accident because he was distracted over his fiancee. He's ok.
If there was no one there for him through no fault of his own - that's karma. You called. He has someone there for him. Not karma at all. Sounds like one lucky SOB to me.

Its never good to see someone else suffer - and you are a good person for still feeling for him ... Even if you feel someone has it coming, a good person never enjoys seeing it happen!!!
