My desktop at home is over 8 years old! It still has Windows 98! 
We mostly use our laptop that is 5 years old.
I think my work computer is about 3 years old.

My laptop is about 5 years old (ibook g4) and looks/runs as great as the first day I got it!
DH's imac is less than a year old.

We dont have a desktop. My laptop is just 2 yrs old this month, Dh's is maybe 8 months old. We try to get new ones every 3-4 yrs.

We have two laptops. One is about 7 years old and we rarely use it. DH gave me this for Christmas last year.
ETA: We have a 10 year old desktop set aside that just has internet explorer on it. That's for the kids to learn to use the computer with.

the desktop is about 1 1/2-2 yrs old (dont remember exactly) and the lap top is 5 months old.
