I was just thinking of this and it kind of bothers me....
Would you be taken back
(or a little bothered) if you shared a small classroom with someone ( I work in this one school three days a week and the health teacher is there the other two days) and she displayed at least 10
9/11 photos on the filing cabinet by our desk. Keep in mind...she is only sharing a room with me to have a desk and filing space. I actually use the room to work with kids. No offense but, I just don't feel like being reminded of that day EVERY DAY!! I just find it so strange..I also had another teacher friend of mine walk in..she didn't realize that I shared the room and looked at me crazy and asked if I had any family members that were affected..
Thoughts?? Thanks!

I am not a teacher so I am not aware of what would be the norm....but as an outsider, yes that would bother me! Its a little creepy and depressing to be reminded of that everyday.

yes that would bother me, maybe one photo, but thats enough.
you should say something, be honest that it bothers you.

It certainly would seem to me she is having some issues with coping. Personally, having been close with some people who passed away on 9/11, I would not want that reminder in my face everyday. It is just too much to bear.
Did she lose someone very important to her?
I would have to know what hte pictures entail in regards to it being inappropriate for children. I just think it excessive for fellow teachers, not even so much the children.

I also feel like she knew someone directly related. The photos are an assortment of twin tower pics with flags or firemen, policemen etc. with sayings re: the day, etc None of the pics are of the actually day of course.
Again, I can see one or two, but 10
