I know it seems trivial, but once it's gone, it's gone.
I think it's a startling reflection of how we are draining this planet's natural resources.

I think my job is contributing to the helium shortage!!!
My office blows up balloons every day to get everyone into competition with each other (the more balloons you have, the more you have sold.)
Truthfully, its very annoying, kind of like working in a carnival or something!

It would be fun, but really, I think its so the managers know if you have sold the products they want, if you have no balloons....you are in trouble!!!

well, it's saying there is a shortage right now, because they fell behind in collecting the crude helium, and that two new helium sites overseas are delayed in opening, it doesn't say that there's a shortage of crude helium itself.
