Dr. Visit???
So I went to my dr yesterday to get prenatals and find out if I need to do anything since we are going to seriously start TTC next month.
The Dr. said that even if/when I do get pregnant I don't need to come back until I am 6-7 weeks preganant. I think this is way too LONG. Do you really need to wait that long? please explain why, don't you need a checkup? Is this Dr. wrong?? Please help with any info. I am so confused.

I just went to a new ob/gyn last week and she said to come in as soon as I get a positive HPT.

Your doctor might have said that because they will only do a blood test to confirm you are. Around 7-8 weeks, they can do a sonogram & hear the baby's heartbeat...

before then they won't really be able to see anything on a sonogram. also remember by the time you get your BFP you are already 2-3 weeks pregnant.

My doctor said the same thing. He said that way you'll hear/see s/t on the sono.

That is quite normal. Except for prenatals there is really nothing they can do for you and you need to wait until the sac is formed and after around 6-7 weeks you can see the heartbeat on the sonogram.
If there is spotting they may prescribe progersterone.

Yes, but no. Based on the way they count you're 4 weeks, but the baby is only 2.
