Re: Swollen Ankles...
The only thing that helps me is to put my feet up.

Re: Swollen Ankles...
Lots of water, no salt and resting on your left side as much as possible.
All things that I find difficult to do during a normal workday.

Re: Swollen Ankles...
I try to keep my feet up at home, on a blanket so that they are above my heart when I am lounging on the couch, seems to work a little, they aren't too bad, but they also aren't my "normal" ankles

Putting your feet up helps but also eating watermelon helps a lot.

Re: Swollen Ankles...
Staying off my feet seems to do the trick. Except who can really do that all day long? Swollen ankles are my latest annoyance.

Watermelon! That sounds good! Nice and cool! There is really nothing I could do for my first pregnancy this one's not so bad ,,,,yet! But just putting them up or having your hubby rub them starting from your calves down and back up feels really good!

Re: Swollen Ankles...
It's not just my ankles that are swollen at this point....from just under my knee is a big swollen mess! From the calf to the toes on my feet....it's disgusting! I wore flip flops to work today because shoes are just NOT an option anymore..... It grosses me out when I look at them. And nothing has made the swelling go down!

Re: Swollen Ankles...
I was told that once the water gets down there - it cannot make it back up until after the birth. So anything you do is preventative - not curing.
My last pregnancy I had it much worse and DH would push the fluid up with his thumbs from my toes upward and it worked for a little bit.
I still remember my shock when I looked at my ankles for the first time after the birth! they were so skinny and delicate! LOL
