Re: GRRR, DH needs to help more
DH is pretty helpful around the house, but when he cooks, it is a mess. I don't think he ever got the concept of cleaning as you go along while waiting for something to cook a bit.
I'm not picking on him about it these days though. Since I got pregnant, he decided I should not handle any toxic cleaners, so he cleans the bathroom, etc. Doing a few dishes is fine with me...
I could buy green cleaners, but nah!!!

Re: GRRR, DH needs to help more
DH understands that if I have to do too much around the house then I am not as happy or I get stressed so he helps out a lot. He vaccuums and takes out the garbage. He loads the dishwasher and cleans the bathroom and kitchen. Not all the time, but whoever has time does it. DH also is off 3 days per week so a lot of times I am working a couple of those days so he does things.
Now with the house he will be busy on those days off with project like painting. :)

Re: GRRR, DH needs to help more
we are married just over a year & it has taken about 10 months to get my DH to help out. I like to keep a clean house & will do anything to keep it that way. I got tired of seeing my DH sitting on the couch on the weekends while I ran around the house cleaning everything, do the laundry & taking care of the outside. Finally one weekend, I did nothing (even though I was boiling inside bc my house needed a cleaning). DH asked why I wasn't doing it & I explained to him that it is not 1950's where I am suppose to do it all considering I do work full time!
He finally saw the truth of it & has been helping out. He now does the dishes every night, cleans the main bathroom in the house, will bring the laundry up & down for me, helps me with the outside cleaning. It is a good system that we now have & he truly sees how much more free time I have to spend with him now that we do things together!!!!
