i have a zeppole waiting at home for me tonight - for after my cornbeef and cabbage! LOL
Does anyone have St Joseph's day pasta?? I personally don't like it but my mother might make it this year.

Honestly, until I lived in RI, I thought zeppoles were just fried dough that you shake in sugar and cinnamon

I make them from scratch- but they aren't exactly zeppoles- they are made with ricotta cheese, flour, egg, baking soda, vanilla & sugar- they are moist in the middle and you fry them in 1/2 veggie oil, half olive oil
then dust with sugar- they are sooo good.
edited to add- we dont' call them zeppoles, we call them sfinge..

No one knew what Irish soda bread was when I brought some in this morning!
