You know, you ARE only eating for ONE!
I'm getting my lunch today (whole wheat veggie wrap) with celery and carrots on the side (yeah, I like to live it up, lol!) and I happen to also get a small turkey chili for later on in the afternoon since I'm famished by 4pm.
anyway, I go to pick up my wrap and the woman behind the counter sees me and says" You know, you ARE only eating for ONE!"  I turn to her and was like, "sorry veggies usually don't fill me up - by 4 i'm starving!" so she goes on to say how I could opt to have a banana or an orange, etc....by this point i'm fuming! I'm like, I have vegetables coming out the wazoo here and a small turkey chili with a glass of water - how the hell can you tell me that I'm overeating? She turns to the person behind me and says, "no use in arguing with the mama to be here!" I'm like...you're damn right!
Can you believe the gall on some people?! urggg

not gonna lie i would love it if someone would say that to me.
im so tired of people telling me im eating for two. im always explaining how i only need 300 more calories a day to properly feed my LO. So many people think its weird that i have small portions and snacks instead of big meals.
btw, i dont think your overeating. i need to eat a meal or snack on something every few hours.

OMG, I would have opened up that frickin chili and thrown it right in her face! I would have left the food there and just walked out and never go back. I cannot even believe she had the nerve to say that. I don't care if you ordered a monster burger, double order of fries and topped it off with some sort of yummy dessert- she still would not have the right to say anything.

Holy cow, why is what you eat anyone else's business? If they saw a morbidly obsese man chowing down at an all-you-can-eat buffet I bet they wouldn't say a word. Women's bodies (particularly pregnant women's bodies) seem to be considered community property. It seems to be ingrained in our culture and that is very upsetting.

People are so incredibly rude towards us preggers. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that.
The only reason I didn't get any "you're so big" comments today is because I worked from home. I'm averaging about two rude comments a day. I wish people would just STFU.

That is ridiculously rude!!! I don't know what it is about being pregnant that makes people thing that they can freely comment on our bodies, eating habits, etc. People seem to lose all boundaries and tact when it comes to pregnant women. I would have been livid!
