Re: Yet another feeding question-- toddlers
Ava will be 26 months next week. She has breakfast, lunch, a snack and dinner everyday. Some days she is hungry in the evening, too, so I give her a snack after dinner. Ava hasn't sat in a high chair in a long time. She definitely eats more out of it. Is there any reason you really want her in a high chair? What about a booster or a little table for her to sit at?

Re: Yet another feeding question-- toddlers
Ryan is just 2. he eats 3 meals a day or, I should say, is offered 3 meals a day - sometimes he eats, sometimes he doesn't and he gets 2-3 snacks a day. He refuses to drink milk from a cup so its all water or very watered down juice. He does tell me when he wants something so if he skips a meal I try to make too much of an issue out of it. I know its normal at this age. He is 32lbs and 36 inches and was just at the Dr....he is healthy and strong and has A LOT of energy so i'm not concerned.
Meals are in the high chair (he doesn't mind it) or booster seat if we are not home....once in a while at our breakfast bar - if he requests it. Snacks are in a bowl or sometimes the highchair depends on the mess factor.

Sorry I'm asking so many questions, just at my wit's end here.
How old is your DC, and how many times a day do they eat? Just 3 meals, or snack in between? And do they eat in their highchair all the time? DD would eat 10x more when not in her highchair than she does in it, but I want her to sit in it!
he he he...glad to know I'm not alone.
DD hated sitting in the highchair for meals and wouldn't eat. Yet if I followed her around feeding her as she walked around...she would NOT stop eating.
So...bad mommy that I am...the highchair is now where she can see the TV and she watches Elmo and eats...and she sits nice and eats a full meal. Sorry, flame me for that, but I'd rather her eat, then not.
She eats 3 meals a day (bkft, lunch, dinner) and definitely snacks during each.
ETA - NOT a habit I will continue with.
No flame here, I've definitely considered it, and haven't ruled it out.
No flame here either, do what you gotta do
