Re: BF and vitamins...
Just get an OFC vitamin because you should really stick to the prenatal if you are BF as per my OB anyway I stopped BF recently and I am still taking them they are soooooo good for you alot of folic acid and other stuff they make me feel great so why not?

I take cvs prenatals still this is what i'm looking for, an OTC prenatal equivalent - does the cvs brand contain omega-3? i'm thinking i'd probably need an additional supplement...

Re: BF and vitamins...
I take regular Centrum. My OB said prenatals weren't necessary anymore. *shrug* She's 15 months old and healthy so I guess we'll be ok!

I Breast Feed and have been taking since I was pregnant, Spring Valley Prenatal for Pregnant and Lactating Women. I also take extra an extra Calcium tablet since most multi vitamins only include a small amount.

Re: BF and vitamins...
I take a store brand OTC prenatal vitamin plus the Expecta Lipil (which has the DHA and ARA). I take the Lipil because when I was PG my prenatal included it (Duet DHA) so I wanted to continue it. The only reason I take the OTC ones is because I had no more refills left on my prescription ones and I just never asked my doc for a new script. When I am done with these, I will go back to the prescription ones though, because these are $8.99/100 for the vitamins plus $10.99 for the Lipil. My copay on the Duet is only $15 so it isn't that much more, and if I do end up getting PG again while BFing, at least I'll be taking the prescription strength of the vitamins (mostly the folic acid is my concern).
