We put the non breakable ones low ......no gate or anything. Just 5 million 'don't touch(s)'
This.
I never gated anything off. I decorated as normal and just taught my DD to not touch the tree. She learned. She was 3 months for her first Xmas so that was a non issue but 15 months for her second Xmas.
