WWYD.....birthday party related.
Last month my ds was invited to a bday party but the little girl (in his preschool class) got sick and they had to postpone. In the meantime, I scheduled to have ds birthday on his bday april 20th at chuck e cheese.
Yesterday ds comes home with an invite for the little girl and its on the same day and same exact time as ds' party.
Im disappointed becausr I would have loved to have his party on his actual birthday and a lot of the kids we were inviting are in his class.
Would u cancel and do something at home with just friends and take a chance of the weather not being nice or do it another day at chuck e cheese.

I would reschedule.
Our friend had to do the same. She had her invitations ordered and everything. She scrambled and picked a less desirable time. There was still a great showing. We went to both parties and had lots of fun.

If your invites are not out yet, I would probably reschedule. Even for the same day but a different time if need be.

I would personally find it annoying if I received a later invite for a party on the same day when the bulk of the guests are from the same class. I think it's more courteous to switch barring any exceptional reason. Here the op can just make it a different day. She didn't even send out the invite.

I didnt send invites yet. Would it be overkill if I made it for the day after? Do u think people would do 2 parties in one weekend?

Do this. I've done 3 parties in one weekend. It doesn't bother me. The kids have fun!!

I think that's fine. We have done two in one weekend.
With my other response I'm not saying you'd look like some huge jerk doing the same day but if it were me I wouldn't even want to start unnecessarily complicating things like that.
