WWYD?
I was looking for an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. One of my friends recommended a company she used. I made the mistake of not asking the name of the agent with whom she worked.
I booked our trip direct through Disney, but plan to transfer the reservation to an agent. Here's the issue: the agent who contacted me is not the one my friend worked with. I only realized this when I called my friend to tell her that the agent gave me some misinformation (told me that Be Our Guest is table service during all meals, when it's only table service for dinner). We have never been to Disney, and the reason we want an agent is to really help with planning and reservations/fast passes. We are completely clueless, so this is important for us.
Here's the question: can I request a different agent at the same agency, or would that be terrible? The agent seems nice, but the whole reason we wanted a Disney authorized agent was to ensure that we had someone who really knows Disney. I feel like we either need to find a new agency altogether, or just use the agent I'm worried about using. We have NOT transferred our reservation yet. WWYD?

I wouldn't want someone that doesn't know the in's and out's of Disney helping me plan my trip. Once the ressie is transferred, you cannot call Disney yourself, and if you have someone who doesn't know what they are talking about, who knows if they will screw up your trip.

Re: WWYD?
If you're recognizing her mistakes and you're a novice, I wouldn't switch to her.
The whole point is to have someone who knows the finer points.
If it was a fledgling business it would be one thing if she said "I am not sure, let me check on that and get back to you." But with blatant misinformation, it would be hard to trust what she says.
Switch to the one recommended by your friend.

i would definitely switch!! like somebody else said- if you've never been before, and even you noticed that the agent gave you the wrong info.... thats a problem! LOL i don't think you have to get into details... maybe just say you really want X agent to handle your reservation, because she's the one your friend recommended
