WWYD?
DS is finally adjusting to his new school and comes home and tells me that he plays a game with some of the kids where he chases them and they call him "the monster". He says he likes the game but doesnt like being called "the monster". It hurts his feelings. I know its a game and all but it hurts my heart to think that he thinks its a game and the other kids are just running away from him calling him a monster cause they dont want to play with him. Would you talk to the teacher or just let kids be kids? He says he likes school but I'm not sure if hes saying that cause its true or if he says it so that he doesnt upset me.

Oh god, my heart broke reading this...I would definitely say something to the teacher. She could stop them from playing this "game".

me too  i hate to think when my DS gets older he will be dealing with situations like this. I would absolutely talk to the teacher and hopefully she will talk with the kids and let them know its not nice to call him names, and to stop playing the game.
