Last Saturday I found out I was pregnant and called the doctor to schedule my first appointment. They scheduled it for Oct 3rd (I'll be 9w3d). Now, I'm supposed to be flying to Las Vegas on Oct 5th.
Would you call to see if they will change the appointment for a week earlier (8w), just in case god forbid things don't look right? I'm going to Vegas with a friend and I can't imagine getting bad news 2 days before and having to leave her high and dry. At least if it's a week earlier, I have time to figure things out.

Yes. I would call and ask if there are any cancellations or available appointments. I'm sure everything will be fine, but if it puts your mind at ease see if they will.

definately call, they should be able to take you at 7 or 8 weeks.

can't hurt to try to schedule it sooner - though if they can't, i wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm sure everything's fine with the baby
