If you were getting on a plane on Thursday. Yesterday your ear felt funny. Like slight pain that came as fast as it went. Wasn't constant. You brought your daughter to the doctor and he said her ear drum looked funny like she had some fluid. The last night she is screaming in pain that her ear hurt. You think you have the same thing. BUT today your ear feels better but you have a doc appt at 10:45 this morning with a $30 copay. Would you go save the copay or go cause you are getting on a plane?

If the copay was $50, I'd go to the Dr.
I have a friend who went to Ireland with an earache and ended up getting cellulitus in his neck because he flew and the fluid got infected.
Better safe than sorry.....

I know. It STINKS! BUT just think of how much $$ you'll have to spend if you DON'T go and you/your DD's ear drum ruptures!

Seriously. I'd rather spend the money now then have it get worse and ruin a vacation which costs a lot more then the co-pay.

DEFINITELY! My friend had an eardrum problem while he was in Florida and he was actually stuck there for 2 weeks because he couldn't fly home. Better to be safe in my opinion!

Same here. It may feel better now, but it's not worth the agony of an ear infection if you're in the air. Also if you get there, I would rather be on an antibiotic so it's not affected on the way home.

Definately spend the $30 & go to the dr. You don't want her to be in discomfort when she is on the plane bc that is the worst feeling.

Go to the doctor. I got on a plane once feeling stuffy, and ended up with a double ear infection on Christmas and needed antibiotic shots. After that, I'll never risk it again.
