Wwyd - 1st bday

Dd's bday is at the end of Apr. We discussed budget and it has to be at our house, either Apr 26 or 27.

Option #1 invite close friends and immediate family - about 27 people and have it indoors. About 11 are kids

Option #2 invite everyone about 55 people and borrow tents from my uncles rental company and see if he has heaters so the party will be indoor/outdoor

Late Apr is usually in the 60s temp wise.

Dds bday is 4/27 we had her first birthday outside. It was chilly but no tents needed or heaters. We actually had birthdays the two Saturdays before and they were also outside. Her 2nd birthday was also outside on and it was hot!

imo - i would keep it small
it may not be the popular opinion on here, but i find first birthdays get out of hand. the kids obvi dont remember it. have a small gathering of close family and friends. if its nice enough to go outside with the 27 people go for it, if not keep it indoors. i wouldnt bother getting tents, chairs, heaters etc.

i currently live in an apartment, so a small party at home just wont work (my "immediate" family is 27 people alone and we also have DHs family to include). so we will be stuck having it at a place - but we are keeping it small and limiting it. i wish we could host it at our place though
