wrapping paper storage
I have a large flat box i use to store all my wrapping paper, bows, bags, tissue etc - its sort of like an under the bed box but it has 2 compartments for bows and smaller things. I love it, and have had it for years
However, it seems as if the past few years, wrapping paper rolls have gotten bigger/longer and each year i end up with several rolls that are too long to fit in the box. They end up getting ruined because they aren't protected inside the box.
I recently bought one of those stand up bins thinking it would hold those larger rolls, and it was too short as well!
Any suggestions on where i can find something to store these 36" long rolls of paper?

Re: wrapping paper storage
I use a narrow kitchen garbage can without the cover for my rolls of wrapping paper.

Re: wrapping paper storage
How about those Rubbermaid storage bins that go under the bed, they are pretty long.

Re: wrapping paper storage
The Christmas Tree store has bags for long objects like that. I have all my Christmas paper in one of those. I can't see spending more money because of the longer rolls. I already have a bin for the ribbons and other paper (birthday, valentines day, etc).

Re: wrapping paper storage
Target has a plastic bin designed FOR wrapping papers. Actually the cover opens up halfway on both sides to pull out paper rolls. It is very long and large, I think will fit all rolls. I bought one and am finally happy (not like the ones I bought in the past).

Re: wrapping paper storage
I have a storage bag that I got years ago that was designed for that purpose with compartments for gift tags and smaller bags. I got it years ago at a sample giveaway from my old company but I'm sure they don't have it anymore.
I love it. I call it my rifle bag because it looks like I'm toting a gun around when I take it down from the attic.
This year I had a roll that was too long for it so it sticks out when I zip it closed.
If more than one roll was like that I'd have to find something else too.
I was really no help at all!

My mom sent me an email with tips to make your life easier. This was one of the tips:
Use wire to make a space to store gift wrap rolls against the ceiling, rather than cluttering up the floor.

Re: wrapping paper storage
We cut the rolls to fit in our storage thing lol. Most do fit without cutting but sometimes there are those really long rolls that we cut and then use the mini rolls for small gifts like stocking stuffers.

Re: wrapping paper storage
I just bought wrapping paper storage thingy from amazon. It holds wrapping paper (rolls and sheets) bows, ribbon and so on. Its pretty big and you can put it in a closet or under your bed.

Target! I have 40" rolls of wrapping paper, so this year I had to go out and specifically find a container long enough... I found them at Target this past weekend - however, they had tons of the bins and couldn't find the covers anywhere!! I ended up with one, so I am happy. It's made by Sterlite, it's an under teh bed gift wrap box, and it holds up to 18 40" rolls of wrapping paper. It is 44" L x 19-3/4" W x 6-3/8" H.

Re: wrapping paper storage
I used to keep wrapping paper storage in large plastic box. I suggest to use Iris Hoilday storage box to store many wrapping rolls in it. It is easy to storage with great design.
