Nothing looks changed but the server down for a week.

Me too! Every so often this week, I just checked to see if it worked. Then, all of a sudden, I got on. But, I think it will disappear at one point and that will be it. JMO

Monitoring the server, and monitoring the forum content are very different. Depending on exactly what happened, whomever is taking care of the infrastructure stuff may have had to do some repairs if the actual server died. That person wouldn't be watching posts.

You speak truth. I know alot about that type of work. Also, it can be that the website needed to be renewed and they just handled that.
