Wow this sounds unfair (yes another hurricane related post!!)
Bloomberg announced that transportation, sports games, etc is all shutting down... evacuations are taking place.... there is a state of emergency....
but BROADWAY is still running!!! Who will they be performing for???

broadway is not in a flood or evacuation zone. the tourist will need something to do.

I work in theatre...and as of yet, we are not shutting down.
And...it is CRAZY here right now. I work on the ticketing side of business and man are people calling the folks in our call center in sheer panic!

I would think they don't want to refund tickets either...I think Boradway is just breaking even as it is.

Where I work, it's direct ticketing (ie., customer-to-company)...not a broker/third-party site. Refunds are being processed for those who cannot attend the performances.

I think it's absurd. The biggest threat to the city (besides subway lines) is debris. Imagine the smallest object flying through the air at hurricane wind speed. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I just saw on the news that they are cancelling all Broadway shows for Saturday and Sunday.
They aren't kidding folks!
