WWYD Yes Hurricane related, Need Advice w/ Poll
Sorry to  but here is My dilema...I live just North of Sunrise Highway in Suffolk County...my Aunt lives about a mile directly North from me...my parents live south of sunrise and will prob go to my aunts house b/c it is much larger than mine. I have an 11 week old DD and my DH may or may not be home Sunday due to the nature of his job. My brother is coming to wait out the storm with me and DD, BUT my mom thinks I should also go to my aunts so we can all "pool our resources" and be together. BUT my aunt said she has not gone shopping and has no resources, so she would be giving shelter and we would be bringing goods! We also just moved into our house, so I have no idea how it will weather the storm, but we do have a finished basement to stay in granted it doesnt flood (It is allegedly dry).

I think if it were me I'd be more comfortable in my own home and having DD in her own surroundings. If you were going to be alone I'd say 100% go to your aunts but your brother will be there so I'd feel okay.

I would stay home. Your brother will be there with you and at least your DD's schedule won't be too disrupted in her own home.

I'd stay. You're not in an evacuation zone, you'll be with your brother and frankly your aunt has nothing more than you do so why leave the comfort of your own home? A mile isn't going to make that big of a difference, in my opinion.
