would you wait to tell DH about BFP?
I'm not pregnant yet; but DH I & are right on the cusp of starting TTC; we go back and forth with starting now; and waiting until the end of the year.
I was thinking this morning with the holidays coming up; DH has a bday in Jan; our anniversary is in April. IF you found of you were preggers say the month before a big event (holiday; bday anniversary) would you hold it in to tell DH in a special way? Just curious to see what you ladies will say. I love the idea of wrapping a onesie up under the xmas tree; or presenting it to him on our anniversary but I think when I get my BFP; I’ll be so excited I’ll either run and shove the stick in DH’s face in excitement or call him immediately any plan to tell him elaborately will go out the window!
Guess a present on a random night of the week would be just as special anyway! Especially in this situation!!

Sorry to crash, but as a BTDT mom, I couldn't wait that long! With my DS I got the BFP at the crack of dawn when I got up to pee. When I went to say goodbye to DH that morning, I ALMOST told him. Later he would tell me that he was wondering why the heck I was staring at him for so long that morning 
I waited until that night, we went out to dinner and I made it special by giving him a card, a pic of the "pregnant" digital test, and a onesie that said "I love daddy"... you can make it special any day of the week. It WOULD be nice to do it for a holiday or anniversary, but I know I couldn't wait a month or a few weeks to tell. Lots of luck!

There is no way I would have been able to wait that long. Like the PP said, there are tons of cute ways to surprise him. You could always buy the little onesies and give it to him as an "early bday/xmas gift" that came as a "special delivery" earlier that day.
If I waited a month to tell DH he would have been really hurt and bummed that he missed out on a whole month of knowing he had created a life with me. Those first few weeks are so exciting, especially since you two have your own little secret from the rest of the world.

I would LOVE to do something like that (your ideas are super cute), but DH likes to be there when I POAS.

I couldn't wait more than a few hours - I got home before DH and I realized AF was due that day so I tested at like 5pm and got a BFP - I then ran to the store for a digital.
DH didn't get home till about 9 that night.
I put the pg test and a bunch of baby Jets items on his side fo the bed. I asked him to come up and help me fold laundry.
He came up the stairs and then said oh wait I have to go tape something downstairs - I must have had the saddest look on my face cause he said forget it and came to help fold laundry.
It took him a good minute to see it laying there - but the whole time I was dying to scream at him to look at the bed!!
There was no way i was going to be able to hold it all in much longer!

LOL! Thanks ladies!! I honestly don't think i'd be able to wait either! DH always tells me "I can't hold water" Maybe i'll get lucky and test xmas eve; or his bday and have a wonderful surprise!
But i like the idea; of giving him a special surprise the night i find out-i even thought about getting t-shirts for the dogs to wear saying they'll be big sisters/big brothers and just letting them walk around the house in them until he realizes it! I'd have to pre-order those though and hide them until the big day!
Lots of baby dust to everyone!!

I tested alone on 12/28 because dh was working and sure enough, bfp! I tested around 9,in the morning and dh,ended up,working late (of course). So I ran out and bought two Rangers onsies, two bibs that said I love my daddy (one boy/one girl), and a book called Quaterback Dad. Placed them all in a box with the test and wrapped it up. Beimg it was three days,after Christmas, he believed me when I said I forgot that I ordered him something and it came today. The look on his face was priceless. I know I,couldnt have waited another minute to tell him though! Sorry for the typos..im on my phone and it's too hard to go back and edit.

ill be waiting until i confirm blood test with dr. i've had 3 or 4 times where i've had +hpts and started bleeding before i get to the dr. Next time it happens, ill be waiting to confirm with dr.

I always think about this too. I will want to tell DH in a special way but I def will not be able to wait more than a day or two! We are going to start trying with my next cycle and (fingers crossed) if we get BFP right away I will want to wait to tell our family at Thanks Giving. I would love to wait till Christmas and that would make it about 3 months along (in this scenario) but I don't know if I could wait that long!
