Would you trade your lunch hour to leave an hour earlier?
I soooo wish I could do this. I would give my lunch hour up everyday to leave an hour early!!

At a previous job we were able to leave at 5:30 instead of 6 if we only took 30 mins for lunch. My current hours are 9-5 and I get a paid lunch so it's not so bad although I would give it up to leave at 4!

DH gets home almost two hours before I do. Would be nice to get home a bit earlier.

yep... without a doubt.. you miss more traffic and that hr at the end of the day is just sooo much more important than lunch IMO...

i would love the opportunity to choose one or the other based on the day... i get a lot done on my lunch break some days and other days, i would KILL to leave early. That'll never happen though, i'm the only one here til closing.

My boss lets me do that once in a while if I need to leave early for something.
Don't know if I would want to do it everyday - sometimes I just need that break!

In some ways I already do. I work through lunch so that I don't have to stay very late at night.
Sure, when we're busy I could take an hour lunch break if absolutely necessary. But then I'd be here til 7:00 instead of 6:00. Considering that, I'll gladly work through lunch on those days.

No, I go out for at least 15 minutes every day. I usually need to pick up lunch and I enjoy getting some fresh air during the day. And some days I just HAVE to step away for a while before I lose my mind.

Yep! I never take an actual lunch anyway. I don't answer my phone but I work right on through.

I wish I could do this!! I would beat so much traffic and get home at a normal hour!! one of my co-workers is allowed to do this and she only lives 5 mins away
