Would You Go to A Concert By Yourself?
Total spur of the moment - Duran Duran is playing right near me tomorrow night at a small venue - amphitheatre - no one able/interested in going, DH is working...they used to be my all-time favorite band and I'm debating this...would you feel like it took away from the concert to be by yourself? Or would you feel like a loser singing and dancing by yourself?
Thanks for your opinions!

I personally wouldn't go to a concert by myself...but, if you think you can do it...by all means GO! Have a great time and sing and dance your butt off!

I saw Duran Duran by myself. I did feel like a lame arse but I am glad I got to see the original 5 again. This was before Andy threw in the towel like a turd.

I agree - I'm too self-conscious to go on my own, but if you want to, GO and have a BLAST!

Yes.
I went to see John Hiatt by myself at MSG. He was actually opening for a band I had no interest in (I can't remember who now!) so I watched him, then left.

I have! I adore Aimee Mann and I don't know anybody into her music. Well,my former roommate/ex best friend was...but we don't really see each other anymore.
I went to see her twice by myself! Feels weird but once I'm into the music I could care less. It was totally worth it!
My DH goes to concerts alone ALL the time. And sporting events too! He just talks to the people around him. I'm not as good at that as he is!

I personally would not, but my 2 friends go alone all the time ! We all have diff. tastes in music so sometimes we wont accompany the other to a show, so they choose to go alone and they have a blast!
Where is DD playing? My friend Dawn's fave band! She went alone to see them and won backstage meet and greet w/ front row seat!

i've done it. .. . i have electic taste.... and for me, i love music so much that when i go to a concert, i am really listening so having someone there or not doesn't really bother me because I am not tlaking to them anyway!

You should definitely go. I went to an outdoor concert by myself once (actually I went with two friends who decided to get high and hang out in the back so I ditched them) and i had the best time. I'm a lot more self conscious in front of my friends than strangers.

That happened to me back in college - we drove from Cortland to Hartford to see Pearl Jam - quite a few people were ummm...under a certain influence and disappeared. So I was with one guy friend - then he decided that he was going to the mosh pit which I was having NO part of!! So I was solo the whole concert!

Andy jumped ship again a few months ago, He is not a guy who can deal with commitment and i dont think they ' The band" been getting along with andy. Andy has he share of problems.
