as long as they didn't make a mess, i wouldn't say anything.

Exactly. We had a problem like this a while back. The lady would leave the garbage bags a mess and then we would be the ones that end up with a fine, so we fixed the problem by not putting out our garbage until the morning.

But if they weren't making a mess, I wouldn't care. One man's garbage is another man's treasure Chat Icon

Re: would you do or say anything?

We have our regulars who come and take them. I never say anything. I figure if it's out for the garbage, I don't mind if htey take it. I actually like them to, so someone makes some $ if I am too lazy too. The only tihng that bugs me is if they make a mess (which they rarely do) and don't clean up. Also...we have people who come around and take old furniture, things like that and I like that it's getting reused/recycled, even resold. I don't care.

If someone was rummaging through my regular garbage, or paper waste, then I would have an issue (re identity theft, etc). But that's why i shred all those items to bits.

he picked up a piece of fairly large cardboard but instead of loading it into his car he walked across the court and threw it over the neighbors fence into the woods. about a half an hr later the men came for pickup and the driver (wearing a bright blue ss shirt) jumped out to assist the other men load the pile. after loading all the items, they drove away. i went out shortly after and returned home hrs later to find the cardboard gone.

Why do you think he did this? That's odd.Chat Icon

I don't find it weird...actually I find it strange that people, after paying $.05, don't want the deposit back. It's like throwing away money.

garbage is public domain anyway - I guess that's why celebrities hire private garbage companies.
