I was lucky to even take a shower that morning. Chat Icon
But if you have the time and want to, then why not?

I got my hair done the day before and restyled it in the morning. I did my own makeup though.

I didn't. Too much going on that day to even think of myself!

I was due for a haircut anyway so I did it that morning. Unfortunately my regular girl isn't in on Sundays and the guy who did it didn't give me a good blow out and I wound up putting it in a ponytail halfway through the party.

I did my own makeup.

I thought about it but didn't follow through. I didn't have the time or the energy. I wound up doing my own.

If you want to treat yourself, go for it! It definitely is for a nice occasion.

Not that day, but I had it cut and colored just before the day.

DS's Baptism starts at 2 and we're doing pictures at 1 so I have plenty of time and decided to get a blow out. I would love to get my makeup done but I feel like I would be cutting it close if I went someplace (makeup always seems to take forever) and having someone come to the house just seemed a bit excessive to me.

I had my hair blown out - for me it was easier to get it done then trying to take the time at home to do it

* also for body - I take a few of the small claw clips and make high bumps (or poofs) all of the top down my hair line and keep them in for an hour or so

Re: would you/did you get your hair/makeup done for DD's Christening?

I'm Jewish but I assumed that a lot of my friends had their hair done for their childrens' Christenings. It's the type of occasion where I would, and I tend to do my own hair and makeup for a lot of events.

If the OP is who I think it is, I think she may have to go to confession--at least 50 times, once for each "count."
