I would only consider it if the baby was measuring on the larger side. I did not have GD but my DS was born at 40w 2d weighing 10lb, 9oz. Because he was so big I could not deliver him vaginally and wound up needing a csection anyway after laboring for a day and pushing for 3 hours! Since your baby is measuring on target, I would try to hold off on inducing unless the babys health became an issue.
