Would you ask your husband to do this?
No, I wouldn't. And I don't even think anyone will notice who gets out of what cars.

i think youre making into something. Why would anyone care, even friends. Just tell them, he has to go to work, etc... Theres no way i would ask him to waste that amount of time and gas to keep up an appearance.

I don't think it would give the wrong impressions especially if you worked it into the conversation that he had to go to work after. I would take two cars

The wrong impression about what? He's going to work to support his family.
Don't make him go back and forth. Instead give him a kiss, tell him be safe at work and we'll see you at home later.

Definitely would not ask him to go back and forth. I think worrying about giving anyone the "wrong" impression is absolutely no reason to waste his time and money. And if anyone would judge you for doing waht makes the most sense for you and your family, scratch them off your invite list.

Would you ask your husband to do this?
Really?
I think it's beyond ridiculous to care what anyone would think about the fact that you took two cars there. But if you're looking for comfort won't you be getting there ahead of your guests anyway? So who's going to notice?

Something about they have to go to a party and it was right near her husbands job and he was gonig to have to go to work right after the party so he wanted to take two cars. She was worried what people would think seeing them arrive and leave in two different cars so she wanted to make him drive there in one car, drive all the way back home just to drop them off and then drive back to the same direction the party was in just so they could all take one car and not have people think things.

Would you ask your husband to do this?
I didn't read the original post but I got the idea of it, I think from the replies. My dh and I have shown up in separate cars on many occasions so he can leave for work. Usually if we know he will have to leave before the party is over, and I want to stay longer, we just take two cars. I've never thought twice about it or worried what anyone thinks. Our family and friends know dh works crazy hours and understand when he can't stay for the whole party.

Not necessary, we have taken 2 cars plenty of times if someone had to go to work or just got off work or whatever. Who cares?? Lol

That's just silly. I'm sure at one time or another we've all had to take a separate car from DH. What's the big deal?
Who would even really notice or care that they took two separate cars anyway??

Oh please!! My DH works weekends and never comes to events with me because of it. Plus, my wedding band started making my finger break out so I don't wear it. I never even thought of what others might think. Chances are most wont even notice.

Unless there's already something going on in the relationship. Are you on the rocks or something and you are afraid people will think he's not staying at home? I could kind of understand that. However, if he always works crazy hours or evening hours, I wouldn't worry.
