Work Rant (sorry if it's long)
Where I work there are precious few who actually give a damn about working efficiently, effectively or take pride in what they do. The maintenence crew has to be the cherry on top of this sundae.
2 guys came down to move furniture and one of them got a call on his cell phone. Now had it been me and I was in the middle of an office of people I was unfamiliar with, there to do a job that should take no more than 30 minutes I would either let the call go to voicemail or answer and say sorry I can't talk right now I'll call you back. Not this guy, he answered the phone and started talking LOUDLY pacing around my office. Talking about getting an invitation or some other nonsense. As he was making his rounds to my area, my phone rang. I answered it, hoping he would take a hint that I was WORKING and walk away. But he didn't he started leaning on my desk and yammering away. I told my caller to hold on, looked him dead in the eye and told him Lower your Voice and Take it OUTSIDE. He quickly hung up the phone. Now I feel like a b*tch but we constantly have issues with getting work done, and when they finally get around to do it they act like this is their hang out spot.
What is wrong with people!?

I agree. This attitude I have found can become very contagious.

I find that so incredibly annoying and rude! My old boss used to host a networking group so once a month a bunch of people used to use our conference room for meetings. When they'd get phone calls, they'd step out of the conference room and do the same exact thing! They'd lean on my desk, take pens right out of my pen holder without asking....it drove me nuts!!! No consideration for all of us in the office trying to work!
