work night, or weekend night for a home food tasting party?

I'm looking to have a home party for Wildtree Herbs, its like tastefully simple but they are all no preservatives, additives, MSGs or dyes....

I need to book a date in August and have to choose between

1. Thursday(free up the weekend)
or
2. Friday night( no work the next day).

When I've been roped into going to one of these things, I prefer if it's a Friday.

I have other committments during the week and on the weekends.

Friday nights generally nothing is going on and DH is usually home then to watch DS.

I prefer Fridays so I don't have to worry about work the next day.

Weekday, too many other things going on on the weekends. Thursdays are the best bc people don't mind as much being a little tired on a Friday.

ok, guess i'll just go with a Friday then since I 'll be getting out early with summer hours, more time to prepare, now I just have to hope people show up

I don't have kids yet, so that might make a difference, but I prefer week night for these events.
