Wood blinds

Does anyone have these in their house? Can you share some pictures? We are thinking of changing our living room window and doing wood blinds and curtains but not sure how it would look. Also looking for recommendations on where I can buy them without spending a fortune?

I'm doing the exact same thing... I don't have pictures but it looks fantastic in my mind.

I am going to try to get them from JCP but since we have a bow window I don't know if I'll have to custom order the sizes I need.... If I do - I'll price them out at JCP online as well as yourblinds.com.

Randomly I saw on TV (Criminal Minds) - a window in a woman's home and she had a straight-across window (not bowed) and she had plantation shutters on it and curtain panels on either side of the window. I paused it - got my DH and said - this is what I want to do with our front window!!!

Plantation shutters wouldn't work for us so I'm substituting with faux wood blinds.

It looked really nice!!

I just feel like wood blinds just warm up the whole room...my windows open side to side so at first I didnt want blinds but now I am starting to change my mind

I have wood blinds (custom sized from JCP) in our den. They are real wood, cordless and cords don't go through the blind slats so there's no pin holes of light that come through. We didn't want full curtains over them so I just did a valance. I won't be home tonight but will take pictures of it tomorrow for you.

I have white wood blinds...and I'm MADLY in love with them!!

i think they look sooo much better then the metal looking ones.

I have 3 windows with wood and 3 with the metal ones. I wish they were all wood though.

We have white wood blinds in every room in our home except the two rooms with plantation shutters. We put curtains on each side or a valance or roman shade on top in addition to the blinds depending on the room.

I have white ones in several rooms from JCP and I'm not too impressed with the quality. Read the reviews on the site before ordering--they are pretty accurate

I don't have pics, but I have them in my kitchen and BR. We got the kind that doesn't have strings (we have a cat that tended to eat them). I got them from Loews, and I love them. They look great, and they are easy to clean.

We have the white, faux wood blinds in our living room. If you're looking for inexpensive these are great! They look just like wood and saved a lot. I think we got them from Lowes. They trim them for you too.

I only have one faux wood blind in our bathroom, so I don't have curtains in there, but I did get it from JCPenny. I'm happy with it.

We are replacing all of the windows in our house with the faux wood blinds. We got them from Home Depot. So far they are in the kitchen and our MB...I will NEVER put the plastic ones back up again! These are so much easier to clean and just look better!

I don't have any pics, but in MB, we have sheers over blinds and then valance over sheers.

Thanks for the advice girls...I am definitely going to look into this...love all your pics. Maybe once the blinds are up I will only need a valance, we will see
