I don't have wood blinds - I have a cream material blind......I hung a giant silky swag above it.
Would this help - I can take a pic if you like.

My new house has all wood blinds in the fam room...the pic doesn't do it justice...and you can't see the big window from the angle of the picture.

I have a big window in the Lr with beige vertical material blinds, too. I don't know what to replace them with. I have three cat so They need to have access to the window plus I like to close the blinds at night.

I wanted to change these to horizontal wood blinds. DH wants verticals though. How do vertical wood blinds look? I need ideas cause I want to change the ones we have. Please help! Image Attachment(s):
