Having been drawn into a few tete a tetes with her, I can honestly say I am both happy and sad she is gone. Happy because I really did feel she was here for nothing but shlt-stirring, yet sad because she was fun to watch, kind of like Flavor/Rock/Shot of Love (mindlessly entertaining as you never know what wacky shenanigans will happen next).

I never saw her comment about 'unmarried' mothers. I was not married when I had my 1st son. I wasn't married when I had my second son. I have heard cr*p from a lot of people - both to my face and behind my back. So I am kind of immune when people make such ignorant comments. I hope she wasn't banned for expressing her opinion (no matter how dumb that opinion is).

i think she had resorted to calling people names and being very very rude - i am not sure, because i did not witness many of her posts (too exhausting!) but this is what i "heard"

I didnt know LifeIsGreat got banned. I thought she just stopped posting bc she just never got along with anyone

I'm the 'unwed' mother she made the nasty comment to. It didn't bother me but I was shocked she wasn't banned for it.

the comment didn't bother me either but she didn't just state her opinion... she was using it as an attack *towards* me.

No, if you click on her SN it comes up invalid. She's gone for good.

I though that would have gotten her booted as well.
I got pregnant with DS way before me and his dad decided to get married. I was 19 and I hand enough on my plate being a new 'teen' mom. I couldn't even imagine dealing with a marriage during that time.
Her comments wouldn't have bothered me so much if she was just saying her honest opinion but she was using it more as an attack on another poster. That didn't sit well with me.

I'm not defending the comment she made b/c it was WAY out of line, but I would like to point out that a pretty nasty and INCORRECT comment about a rough patch she went through with her DH was brought up by Caroline first which was why she lashed out and made the "knocked up" comment - which she DID apologize for.
Again, I'm not justifying what Kimmie said, b/c in NO WAY was it right, but I know I've been so angry that I've said things that later on I've regretted... Haven't we ALL been there at one time or another?
In the end they both apologized for their harsh comments to each other but for some reason, Kimmies seems to have lingered.
I'm just trying to see it from both sides.

I agree....I scan NFR and there is usually nothing that interests me then I flit around to the other boards
Much of the reason for my extended hiatus - even though I wasn't posting, I was FM-ing and reading every so often, as you know - and it was exhausting reading the endless repetition, nasty comments back and forth, and unfortunately sometimes, general stupidity. Hoping things will go back to normal...
