Wine...
I know nothing about it...I know I like White Zin...but that seems like a newbie's choice...Beringer is my fav..
Well my new wine rack came and I am interested in trying new things...can people make some suggestions....
I know Im not that fond of heavy red wine, and nothing too sweet ( though white zin is kinda sweet) and nothing too too bitter...LOL..thats about all I know!
Whats some good types and brands etc?

Re: Wine...
Try a reisling..I think you will like it. It's a white on the sweeter side. I usually don't like sweet either but this kind I really like.

Re: Wine...
I believe its on the fruity side with a hint of oak taste...by soft red I meant that it is not as bold or strong as a cab or zinfindel.

Try Luna Di Luna - it's a pinot grigio you might like it. They also make a chardonnay pinot grigio which I had tonight - yummy.

my absolute FAVE is Paumanok Vineyards (on LI) semi-dry riesling. It's sweet and fruity--goes down so smooth.

Re: Wine...
I've heard good things about Yellow Tail too, but haven't tried it yet. Friends of ours gave us a six month membership to one of those Wine of the Month clubs. Each month we got one red and one white. We haven't opened them yet because we still have SO much from last summer's trip to the Finger Lakes.
I am partial to Finger Lakes wines because it's so much fun to visit the wineries and the prices are great. Unfortunately they're hard to find here.
I like reisling and pinot grigio. Sometimes chardonnay is a little too dry for me. Sauvinon blanc is good too, I think it's a little between chardonnay and reisling in terms of dryness.
Not big on red though friends once brought this red wine from Israel that was so good- it was not too heavy and just sweet enough. Never was able to find it again.
