Will we ever close?????
We have been trying to buy MIL's house since December. We are now onto our second bank for a mortgage and we are getting close. I got a call from my attorney this morning and he says that the Title Company has an issue with the survey we had done two weeks ago. There is a fence on MIL's property that is 2 feet short of the property line. Now they want us to have the neighbor sign an affidavit that they know of the situation and make no claim to the 2 feet of property that is MIL's.
I truly hope this is the last piece of this annoying puzzle.

Ughhh. that better not happen to me.
It is so different from when we boght our current house - they accepted our offer on Mother's Day and we closed on June 25th.

Will we ever close?????
First time was 10 months and we never closed and had to fight for our DP back.
This time, it was 60 days. There's ALWAYS something that pops up and if this experience has taught me anything it is to make sure I do everything to the T when it comes to updates/renos so there's no issues down the road.

Nope. It's a co op. I kept screaming at the agent and the bank. I had a nervous breakdown on the phone at one point. I told them if this takes a few more months , ill have enough to buy my place cash and won't be needing them. i ended up closing a week later
