Wild Garlic/Onions
Are winning again! Ughh I can't get rid of them. I tried digging up a bunch of them last year but it seems they got revenge by coming back again this year even stronger. These are the most pesky weeds ever!

Re: Wild Garlic/Onions
If anyone finds a way to get rid of them please share. It also smells like onions when my DH mows the lawn. I did notice that they go away in the summer, but getting through spring with them is tough. Someone told me that the scotts plus weed contol helps get rid of them.....not forever but for the season. they said that they shrivel up and are gone with a few mowings. I'm going to try it in a few weeks. DH just fertilized so we have to wait. I'll keep you updated.

Re: Wild Garlic/Onions
you really need to fully dig them out along with the whole root system then pour some boiling water in the deep hole you will create. I honestly will not be doing this since I would need a soil delivery to full in the holes.

Re: Wild Garlic/Onions
Glad to see I am not the only one suffering from this problem. From what I read fertilizers and weed killers will not kill them because they are a bulb and they have very waxy leaves which makes it difficult for weed killers to do their job.
They do go away once summer comes but until then it is very frustrating. The other tip I read said to try changing the PH of your lawn, they love acidic soil. So I am going to lime the heck out of my lawn this year to try and bring down the acidity.
