Wi-Fi & Disney

Does anyone know if the test they ran in October for complimentary free wi-fi was a success? Are they now offering it, or do you still have to pay?

It was a success. Some of the hotels still don't have it though. You might want to call the resort you're staying in to see if it's available in that particular resort yet.

The Disney resorts with free wi-fi are:

- Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Beach Club Resort
- BoardWalk Resort
- Contemporary Resort
- Coronado Springs Resort
- Grand Floridian Resort
- Old Key West Resort
- Polynesian Resort
- Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- Wilderness Lodge Resort
- Yacht Club Resort

If you're staying at a convention resort - Contemporary, Yacht Club, Coronado Springs, or Grand Floridian - there's some wi-fi in common areas but the strength varies and it's usually fine for email, but not shopping or anything that needs speed.

We'll be at Old Key West for a few days starting tomorrow so I'll post about my experience. ºoº

We're at Old Key West now in a corner room WAY in the back of the complex and our wi-fi is very, very weak. I'm actually connected to the old hard-wired line right now.

Hopefully it's our room location and not the service itself.
