Disney...Polynesian vs. Grand Floridian for a honeymoon...

The Grand Floridian is the best of the resorts but lots of $$, never actually ventured over there. I went to the Polynesian for dinner food was good very nice hawaiian theme to it.

The Grand Floridian is more formal. It has a very upscale, high society feel to it. I like the Polynesian better. I love the hawaiian feel of it.

I have visited the GF and I was really put off by the people and staff there.
We wanted to check things out for possibly going there for our honeymoon and they suggested we come during their value/less expensive season  Um, how about we come stay with you right after the wedding? We wanted to see one of the rooms and after being asked to wait for 30 minutes no one was available. It just left a very bad taste in my mouth. We were potential guests at that point and we were treated kind of crappy so I didnt want to find out how it would be actually being a guest.
I have never been to the Poly but from other boards, it appears to be a realllly nice place to stay.

I said this in my FM But the GF gives me more the upscale feel I'd love to have for a honeymoon. We didn't stay there but we found the front desk staff to be very nice and accomodating. But the Poly gives the Hawaiian feel so it's the disney honeymoon and the hawaii honeymoon in one. good luck

MY vote is for the Poly.
Personally those fancy shmancy hotels are not as comfortable for me.

We just stayed at the Polynesian in February and loved, loved, loved it!!! Can't wait to go back... Good luck with whatever you decide.
