me too. DH always makes fun of me cause if I got a steal, I feel the need to tell them the price and where i got it (and if it is still on sale).

I see nothing wrong with it, honestly. I'm so excited when someone compliments something that I bought on a great sale - or if I bought in Target or Kohl's! 
For me it's more like... I almost EXPECT to get compliments on the $$$$ stuff, because if I'm spending a lot it had better be fabulous. But when I get complimented on the cheapie stuff I feel like I found a diamond in the rough.

I totally do it too!
And my SIL does it too- but with gifts. Like if you get a gift from her- and you say you love it- she always tells you she got a great deal on it.
