WHY?????????????
WHY do people feel its ok to bring dogs into stores,banks, anything that says no dogs allowed!??!!!! 
If the dog cant sit in the car and you have things to do then dont bring the dog out!!!!

I have no idea. I was in a store one day and this crazy mangy look dog ran up to my stroller to sniff my son (it looked like a pitbull). I was scared to death and the dog's owner gave ME a dirty look!

I am a complete animal lover, especially dogs...and although I agree that dogs should not be allowed in grocery stores, etc.
LEAVING THEM IN THE CAR is unacceptable. People don't understand that if they don't have air they will suffocate. They can die if it is tooo hot for them. So, no LEAVING THEM IN THE CAR is not an alternative.
Please don't blast me! I have just seen way tooo many people leave their dogs as well as their children in locked cars with the windows rolled up. Animals and children both can suffocate and die in a closed car.

YOu are so right and I agree on that! I had to call the cops on a dog in a car with the windows rolled all the way up in AUGUST!

There is this one guy where I work who constantly brings his dog into the office it is so annoying. They guy doesnt work all day but I dont need to hear the poor thing scratching at the door when you step out of your office. It bothers me a lot. What about the people who have allergies. There is also another guy from the company across the hall who brings his dog in. He is the boss over there so I guess it is okay THERE. Its funny cause the women in that office have told me the dog has its own office with a bunch of toys. And there are some people who want their own office but cannt get one cause the dog needs one. Its a weird situation.

And this is why I SAID if the dog CANT sit in your car while you do THINGS then DONT BRING THEM OUT!

A month or so ago, DH went to a doctor's (dermatologist) office and there was a woman with her dog there. He almost fell off his chair when the woman took the dog into the EXAM ROOM with her. This is a skin doctor's office!

thank Europe for that, especially France- there is NOT ONE person who didnt have a dog and they were everywhere!!!! Even in the airport walking around like nothing!!! Its totally a fashion thing there, and slowly coming here. Ive allready seen dogs in roosevelt field mall shopping with their mommies - either being held or in a bag- and no one said anything. I was surprised. I love animals but there is a place for them and some of these places, supermarkets, doctors offices are not 1 of them. I do love however how the pet stores let you bring them thats fun!!!!

i dont live on LI. i have no car for my dog to sit in. (and if i planned on leaving my dog in the car-which i wouldnt do- i just wouldnt bring the dog)
my dogs are little. i see no problem with bringing them anywhere i go.
then agian, the city is luckily very dog friendly... thats WHY we moved her in the first place!
i see no probnlem with it.
(Lol, if i ever go to a GTG you can put money on it i will bring one of my dogs.)

Jessica, if it is any consolation, i think the loud azz bratty whiny kids should be left home too.
It does bother me, b/c DH is allergic to animals. I know you love your dogs, but I just think there are some places where it is inappropriate to bring an animal.

ditto 100% about the kids and animals out in public. I am HIGHLY allergic to cats. I'd completely freak out if I went somewhere and someone had a cat there.

In NYC down in the Union Square area tons of people bring their dogs with them into stores... but mostly clothing stores... which is fine. I was never in a store where there was one barking ridiculsously.
BUT I will say that if the dog feels like laying down... that is not right. I accidentally stepped on a dog in Express that was laying down and I honestly didn't see it. Man did I get a look from the owner.

I think it is inappropriate to bring them into stores
But i did it once..my dog was a pup and i HAD to pick up something from target...Martin sat quietly in my coat with his head popping out.

I like it when people bring their dogs places- I think it is cute.
I have brought my yorkies into stores with me and it's fun.
I don't think people should let them run around and bother people though, I know some people don't like them.
I also don't think dogs should go in food stores.

WELL....
My brother is Highly alergic to dogs so thats number 1.
Number 2.. I was in a supermarket where a lady PUT HER DOG on the COUNTER so she could take out her money THAT IS GROSS!
And the most important of all is that ITS A RULE WITH A BIG SIGN ON THE DOOR NO PETS...
