i just thought i would suggest- i will not be able to drink in may, but if u needed help finding a place- there is this bar with gret food called the st james in mineola a block from the train station- trains stop in mineola, like, every half hour....me and DH and DD too go to that bar all the time to eat and stuff... 
just thought i would add my 2 cents, even though i wouldnt be able to come.....
Great just what you want...a bunch of drunken LIF'ers visiting you in the hospital!
Kerie - I have an anniversary coming up too...the 19th anniversary of my 20th birthday.

hahaha its called the library its a really awesome relaxing bar
you can sit eat have a drink in farmingdale off of main st near the tgrain staion
SO funny - this is the FIRST thing that came to my mind! It's convenient for sure.

Who knows a place near the LIRR, along the Suffolk/Nassau border? I don't care if I need to take a cab to the LIRR, but I don't want this too costly.
BK Sweeney's in Bethpage.
There is also Local right near Penn.

The Library is really nice, but the bar area could be tight.
OTher ideas- Singletons on Hempstead Tpke in Bethpage, Hemingways in Wantagh is just north of the train station.

I'm excited!!!!!!!! I'm going out of town soon and will be sporatically on over the next week. DH's schedule and mine change every week (days off, shifts, etc.) so I have to look and see if there's a day in the next month or so. I'll be back soon with a few days to choose from!
